MILAN DESIGN WEEK: DAY 1 HIGHLIGHTS

Category: Photography

1- The Eccentrico Sensory Lab: KILIM Collection

Via Malpighi 7 — until 26 April

A ceramic collection built around the power of a diagonal cut. KILIM’s signature element is Khat — Arabic for “line” or “stroke” — designed to be rotated, combined, and directed to create contemporary, elegant, and endlessly surprising patterns. Finishes and colors weave together like threads, unlocking something new every time. Bonus: specialty coffee by Mirabilia, served on a Lelit MaraX3. Worth the detour.

2- 6:AM — OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER

Via Ampère 24 — until 26 April

Held inside the historic Piscina Guido Romano in Città Studi — a venue surrounded by buildings by Gio Ponti and Vittoriano Viganò — 6:AM transforms repetition into scale. New and past glass collections are placed throughout the space, turning individual objects into immersive architectural installations. Glass, space, and history in continuous dialogue.

3- Casa Castello by Porcelanosa

Piazza Castello 19 — until 26 April

A real apartment, not a showroom. Casa Castello presents Spanish design and craftsmanship as something lived-in rather than displayed — tactile, warm, and genuinely explorable. Postcards, stickers, and daily events. The kind of space that feels like it was made for you to stay a little longer.
